I am directed by the Lord Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, to acquaint you, for the information of Lord Granville, with reference to your letter of the 16th ult., that the explanations of the Charges in the Hong-Kong Account for 1868, inclosed in your letter of 22nd April last, were forwarded to the Comptroller and Auditor General, with a view to their bringing to account the several charges to which attention had been called.
